The Eliminate Project

Maternal Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) has been historically, a cruel disease resulting in many deaths of newborn infants in third world countries. Read some background information. In 2010 Kiwanis International launched the Eliminate Project. KI partnering with Unicef pledged, through simple inoculations, to protect mothers and their babies from this horrible disease. KI set a goal to raise US$110 million globally to fund the project. This project was successfully completed on Dec 31, 2015 with the funding goal met!

The Kiwanis Foundation of Canada successfully met their pledge of US$2.5 million.

Kiwanis Belleville rose to the challenge with 100% member participation and US$1000 per member average contribution. This earned our Club Global Service Society Gold Status

At the completion of this project we pause to say "well done Kiwanis", and "Thank You" to our members and community for supporting us.
